Welcome To The Ultimate Country Experience

The first event of its kind to debut at Tamworth Country Music Festival in the world class AELEC arena, CowboyUp promises to entertain, with an adrenaline charged exhibition of premier Rodeo sports, top line country music, ute and truck shows, and western equine sports. “CowboyUp is an opportunity for Tamworth to capitalise on the ultimate entertainment package” said Hunter Jones, ABCRA’s Executive Officer. “It combines top line country music with signature rodeo events so popular to Tamworth Festival goers and the Australian Rural community”

Featuring a one and a half hour Benefit Concert with one of the hottest new acts coming out of Nashville, Eric Lee Beddingfield, CowboyUp has something for everyone. Australia’s elite bull and saddle bronc riders and some of the fastest ladies on the barrel racing circuit will battle it out for top prize money. Utes and trucks will travel from near and far to participate in a good old Australian ute and truck Show at the same time the National Finals for the new and popular sport of Ranch Sorting will crown its Champions. “We are indeed fortunate to be able to partner with one of the USA’s most talented rising country music stars in Eric Lee Beddingfield. Eric’s enthusiasm for the opportunity to perform at Australia’s Iconic Tamworth Country Music Festival and in assisting our efforts to raise funds for the Westpac Rescue Helicopter service has been nothing short of infectious” Said Mr Jones.

Beyond entertainment, CowboyUp is all for a good cause helping to raise money for the Westpac Rescue Helicopter. It costs roughly $16 million a year to keep helicopters and crews ready to respond when needed. To date no one has ever had to pay to be assisted by the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service.
CowboyUp aims to play its part in ensuring this essential service continues to be free to those in need. “We looked at how we could positively impact on our community in the best way. As rodeo and Campdraft is iconically linked to the Australian Rural Community and we have had members that have needed the valuable services the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service it is only fitting that the ABCRA repays, in some way the immense benefit Westpac Rescue Helicopter has and continues to provide” said Mr Jones.

CowboyUp will be held on January 21 2017 at 5pm at the AELEC arena Tamworth. Don’t miss the opportunity to support the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service and take in the elite Bulls, Broncs and Barrels and be a part of the biggest country music event on the first weekend of the Tamworth Country Music Festival.
