Queensland Riders throw down the gauntlet

A new State-against-State competition has been launched with organisers calling for Event riders from New South Wales and Queensland to vie for bragging rights at the upcoming Davcar Horse Floats 2013 Queensland International three-day event.

The ABCRA National Finals have drawn to an end, and what a week it has been. The Finals saw some excellent competition with many high scores being recorded. The race for the Titles up for grabs made for an even more entertaining three rounds as both competitors and horses were at their best in hopes of becoming the Finals or National Champion. Due to the tough competition, there were many close scores leading to run offs in order to decide the winner.

Boneo Park certainly set the standard this year by accommodating some of Australia’s finest at the 2013 Credit Suisse Boneo Park CDI*** over the weekend.

The conductive rubber fence preventing fatal injuries to horses is now available. The Danish inventor, Simon Thorkelin, has after several years of development started production of the conductive rubber fence. This is good news for all horse owners. The debilitating leg injuries to horses when they come into close contact with the traditional electric fences

The National Horse and Pony Rescue announces their first annual calendar launch which celebrates the fresh start to life the beloved Rescue horses have been given. The calendars will be available for purchase on the website (coming soon), at various saddlery stores and feed merchants in the Northern NSW area and by phone or email order. All purchases are Tax Deductable.

The 10th edition of EQUITANA proved a huge success with visitors and exhibitors this year and feedback from horse fans has been extremely positive. Tourism Victoria’s Brendan Downey affirmed “EQUITANA is a major hallmark event for Victoria and we are proud to acknowledge that it sits on par with the Australian Open, AFL Grand Final and the Melbourne Cup,” said Mr Downey.
