A project is underway to review occupational skills standards and units of competency to improve safety, quality and consistency in the delivery of equine training.

The project Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) and Expert Working Groups are currently seeking feedback on the content of 156 draft units of competency, including three proposed new units.

Organisers of the 2017 Sydney CDI*** are giving the audience the chance to put themselves in the judges’ seat, with a new app allowing spectators to score competitors.

In a first for the Australasian region, spectators can download the free app and experience judging first hand as they unofficially “score” each competitor as if they were in the judge’s box.

Warm weather welcomed day three of EQUITANA Melbourne as crowds flocked to the showgrounds for another jam-packed day of equestrian action. It was another beautiful day in Melbourne for Day Two of EQUITANA, which saw crowds arriving in droves for an action-packed schedule of competition, education and shopping galore.
